I was a bit nervous about my upcoming trip to China where I would be joining a group of volunteers from around the US at an intensive two-week English Immersion camp in Shenzhen.  After arriving a the Tsinghau Experimental School, it didn’t take long for my trepidation to melt away after meeting the exceptional Chinese students and the two weeks went by too quickly.  We had the opportunity before and after the camp to tour around the region and I quickly fell in love with China , the culture, the countryside and the people.   I also had the good fortune to come across the beautiful pearls that are found in this country.  Every chance I got, I was admiring and purchasing these precious gems that I had instantly fallen in love with.  Jewelry can add to an ensemble in so many ways, whether they are injecting a sense of fun, color, or sophistication    My daughter, Melissa loves jewelry as much as I do, and we decided to go into business together bringing these wonders from China to you and less than twelve months later, Zenka Pearls is a reality for you to explore and enjoy!
